What is the Process for Installation?

When it comes to installing a new fence, deck or railings to your home, the process is straight-forward at The Fence Guy. Here's your guide to getting a fence installed in South Jersey, by us.
Schedule an Estimate
First things first, call, email, or fill out a form on our website to schedule a free estimate for your desired project. Tommy will then come to your home or business to take some measurements, talk with you, and survey the land. Then, we will reach out to you with a quote.
Obtaining a Permit
Once you decide to move forward with The Fence Guy, we finalize the materials and project details. This is when you would reach out and ask your township for a permit, if it hasn't already been done. Without the permit, we will not be able to start the installation. How long it takes to get the permit does vary depending on the township. The Fence Guy does not obtain permits for any projects, as it is the responsibility of the homeowner.
Schedule Your Installation
Once the permit is taken care of, it's time to reach out so we can schedule your installation! It's time to get excited!
Utility Markouts
Once we are close to the installation date, The Fence Guy will call your utility company for markouts of your yard. This is legally required before any digging or excavating.
Installation Day!
The day has come! Our crew will call you on the day of to notify you of our expected arrival. We will talk through things with you once we arrive, answering any questions and going over the process. Then we get started!
If there is any inclement weather, delays or need to re-schedule, those will be communicated to you.
We never use any subcontractors at The Fence Guy. Our experienced crew will provide precise installation and showcase the craftsmanship we pride ourselves on. Once the installation is done, we will give you a walk-through of the finished product, go over our Lifetime Workmanship Warranty, and collect payment. Now, it's time to relax and enjoy your transformed yard.
